Ernie Noble

October 14, 1939 — March 15, 2015

Ernest L. Noble, age 75 of Dayton, passed away March 15, 2015. He was born October 14, 1939 in Pawnee City, NE to the late George and Rose Noble.

Ernie is survived by his wife, Judy Noble; sisters: June Friend and Rosalie Noble; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Shaner; nephews: Eric Friend, Mark Friend, Jere Bohannon and Travis Bohannon; beloved dog, Latte; and many dear friends.

Ernie was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving our country during the Vietnam Era. He graduated from Santa Monica High School and earned his Associates Degree from Santa Monica City College. Ernie moved to Ohio in 1979 and worked for various transportation companies, including: Hertz in Cincinnati and Omni Leasing in Versailles. Ernie was a beloved associate at Newcomer Funeral Homes, where he was the Funeral Coordinator for many years. He was a member of the Dayton Lions Club.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, March 20, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 9-10 am. Pastor Doug Surber officiating. Inurnment and military honors will be held at Dayton National Cemetery at 11:00 am with committal service and prayer by dear friend, Ken Venable.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ernie's memory to The Hospice of Dayton.
