Ernest G. "Ernie" Thomas

Ernest G. "Ernie" "Tom" Thomas, 73, of New Carlisle, passed away on January 17, 2020 at Hospice of Dayton.
He was born on December 7, 1946 to Chris and Sadie (Broughton) Thomas in Harlan, KY.
Ernie was a proud worker of Delco Moraine for 33 ½ years as a Heavy Equipment Operator.
He was a very loving and supporting husband and father. He loved his grandchildren very much. Ernie was an avid animal lover and loved his dogs. His hobbies were working on cars, yardwork, and fishing. He took care of his neighbors and never knew a stranger.
Ernest is survived by his loving Wife of 53 years, Wanda; Children, Billy (Angela) Thomas and Susan (Shon) Morgan; Grandchildren, Nolan & Gabby Morgan and Andrew & Kelsey Thomas; Brother, Gary Thomas, Sr. of GA; numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends; and dogs, Rusty and Patches.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Chris and Sadie Thomas; Sisters, Mildred Osbrone, Voline Broyles, and Zelma Hogston; and Brothers, Bobby Joe, Pinton, and E.J. Thomas.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, 1:30 pm at Newcomer North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton). Family will receive guests starting at 12:30 pm.
Burial immediately after at Willow View Cemetery.
