Ernest R.L. Jones

Jones, Ernest R.L., age 89, of Englewood, OH, passed away August 28, 2016. He was born in Saxton, KY on June 16, 1927 to the late Robert and Laura Jones.

Ernest was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Ancil, Henry, Lawrence, Thomas, Raymond and Billie Joe; sisters Dora, Nannie, Joie, Floretta, and Stella; and Best friend Flora B Bailey.

He was survived by his children Ernest R. (Susie) Jones, Loraine (Jack) Boeke, Chuck Stafford, Theresa (Steve) Argast, and Mark (Helen) Stafford; grandchildren Elizabeth Jones, Allan (Holly) Argast, Tiffany Miracle, Jeromy (Krista) Stafford, Angi (Kevin Lauer) Blevins, and Cindy Stafford; great-grandchildren Michael, Kalyn, Madison, Logan, and Paxton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews family and friends.

Ernest was a kind and gentle man who loved to tell jokes. He was known to have the cleanest car anywhere (thanks mostly to cajoling nephews into doing the work for a soft drink and a candy bar when they were young). Above all else Ernest loved and cherished his family.

Family will receive friends starting at 9am until time of service at 10am on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road.
