Ernest Eugene Lilly, Sr., age 68 of Huber Heights, passed away January 15, 2014. He was born February 4, 1945 in Dayton to the late James W. Lilly and Dollie M. Brady. In addition to his parents, Ernie was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jean Shively; and brother, Harold Lilly.
Ernie is survived by his wife of 46 years, Janet Lilly; children: Ernest E. Lilly, Jr., Curtis Lilly and Andrea Wilson; 6 grandchildren: Dustin Lilly, Caitlyn Lilly, Gavin Lilly, Bradley Chapman, Jesse Chapman and Lillian Chapman; brothers: Edward (Chris) Lilly and Emerson (Barbara) Lilly; sister, Marilyn (Carl) Clark; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ernie was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked at NCR as a computer operator for more than 40 years. He also worked security at AT Systems and worked in the hardware department at Wal-Mart.
A memorial service will be held in the near future at Christ Community Church, 11143 Lower Valley Pike, Medway, Ohio 45341, 937-849-0576. Dates and times will be announced. Arrangements by Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road.
