He was preceded in death by his step father, Sherman J. Lawson; special nephew, James Dominix Poffenberger.
Ernie is survived by son, Hunter Von Lawson; mother, Norma J. Taubert; father, Ernest Von Gibson; fiancé, Kelly Tiana Studebaker; sister and brother-in-law: Cheryl and Lee Morgan; brother and sister-in-law: Jeff and Amanda Poffenberger; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
Ernie was an Actor who performed at the Dayton Playhouse and at Edison College. He loved music; he was a drummer and a painter. Ernie had a very kind heart. He was a very loving father; Hunter was the center of his world. He loved the Lord with all of his heart.
