Ernest Gus Tasso

Tasso, Ernest Gus, age 82, of Las Vegas and Kettering, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2009 in Las Vegas. Ernest was a United States Navy Veteran proudly serving during WWII and he retired from both Trojan Machine Company and NCR. He was a member of F & AM # 405 Mystic Lodge (formerly John Cisna Lodge # 744), member of Shamrock Athletic Club, where he served as treasurer, and member of UCT Council #3. Ernest is survived by his son: Gus Tasso of Las Vegas; daughter and son-in-law: Arleen (Joe) Marcum of Las Vegas; and brother and sister-in-law: John (Jackie) Tasso of Huber Heights. He was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Tasso. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 10, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering with Pastor Peter Courlas officiating. Interment will follow the service at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 P.M. until time of service.
