Ernest Goins

GOINS, Ernest C. "Old Man" age 80, passed away Monday July 30, 2007 at Heartland of Miamisburg after a courageous battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walker and Lula Goins; 4 sisters; and eight brothers. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Rita; son, Robert Boyer of Miamisburg; son, John and Mary Goins of Mt. Sterling, KY; son, Marvin and Linda Goins of Miamisburg; daughter, Beverly Bond of Lebanon, OH; daughter Mary and Mike Bangert of Franklin, OH; daughter Kandy and Damon McKinney of Miamisburg; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was a long time racing enthusiast, mechanic, and car owner, and a loyal DARF member. He enjoyed showing and participating in local car shows and parades with his 1927 model T Ford. He retired from Delco Products after 38 1/2 years of service. He was a member of the United States Armed Forces. Funeral services will be held 10 A.M. Saturday August 4, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home - South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday August 3, 2007 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. and also an hour prior to the funeral service.
