Today we celebrate the life of Erma Lovelace. She was born May 8, 1940 in Van Lear, KY, the daughter of Fletia and George Clevenger. She was sent to Heaven on Monday, January 4, 2021 in the arms of Jesus at the age of 80.
In addition to her parents, Fletia and George Clevenger, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul H. Shutts Sr. and Dick Lovelace; her son, Raymond Shutts; her daughter, Victoria (Shutts) Ryan; her brother, Billy Clevenger; her sister, Thelma Fraley; and her grandson, Anthony Cooper.
Survivors include her 3 children: Paul H. Shutts Jr.; Michelle Z. Wellman, son-in-law, Paul Scott Wellman, and grandson, Paul S. Wellman Jr.; and Nichole A. Wade, son-in-law, Robert Todd Wade, and grandsons, Raymond and Tyler Wade; as well as grandchildren, Sarah Shutts, Amanda Shutts, Stephanie Shutts, Sherry Cooper, and Michelle Cooper; and numerous great grandchildren.
Erma had a strong faith and a love of God, enjoyed spending time with her family, loved her cat, Beauty, loved shopping, and loved gardening. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and had a great sense of humor. She was a strong woman, with strong family values. She will forever be loved, remembered and missed.
No funeral or memorial service is planned in the immediate future due to Covid. The family will notify loved ones if a memorial service will be planned. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Erma, may donate in her memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or at CBN Ministries.com
