Erma Marie Flor, age 89, of Centerville, Ohio passed away on July 8, 2019. Erma was born on August 21, 1929, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Julius and Priscilla (Collar) Davids. She would later marry Robert Flor and move to Dayton to begin their lives together.
While in Dayton, Erma worked as a nurse for over 12 years at the Kettering Hospital. Erma was an avid reader and enjoyed reading Louis L'amore novels and especially her Bible. Most of all, Erma enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends where they would spend hours visiting, and telling stories while they worked jig saw puzzles.
Erma is survived by her loving daughters, Susan Flor, Cathy (Chris) Stone, and Carol (Don) Leeth; son, Stephen (Becky) Flor; sister, Viola Haddock; granddaughters, Leah Martin, Michelle Flor, Jennifer Carson and Laurie Dysart; grandsons, James Flor, Jacob Stone and Roger Leeth; and 8 great-grandchildren. Erma also leaves behind a beautiful legacy of numerous loving great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, Erma was preceded in death by her brothers, Harvey, Freddie, Harold and Julius Davids; sisters, Arlene "Lynn" Pitts and Dorothy Davids-Diehl.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be conducted immediately following the visitation with Pastor Dave Ringhiser officiating. Burial will follow with military honors on Monday, July 15, 2019 at 11:45 am at the Dayton National Cemetery.
