GOFF, Erie M. age 94 of Kettering, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2006, at Miami Valley Hospital. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 39 years, Naomi Rice Goff. He enjoyed bowling, reading, gardening, and furniture making. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family: his daughter Virginia Lehman and son-in-law Gene Lehman of Bellbrook, his daughter Linda Tatman and son-in-law Marlin Tatman of Lawrenceburg, IN, his son Dennis Goff of Cincinnati, seven grandchildren: Jason Lehman, Nicholas Lehman and his wife Courtney Lehman, Laura Goff, Jon Goff, Ryan Goff, Justin Goff, and Eric Tatman, and one great granddaughter, Summer Lehman. He is also survived by his sisters Janice Goff of Fort Wayne, IN, and June Long of South Whitley, IN. Erie served our country in the United States Army during World War II and was a lifetime member of Kettering VFW Post 9927. He retired from AMF after 42 years of service and was a member of the Vandalia United Methodist Church. He was also a member of both the Moraine and West Carrollton Senior Citizens, where he had made numerous wonderful friends. Erie's family and friends will remember him as a man of intelligence, faith, courage, integrity, and generosity. His kind and loving spirit will live on in those whom he befriended. He was truly a role model. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 11, from 5:30-6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Boulevard.
