Emmett L. Herbst

HERBST, Emmett L. (Dad) went home to heaven to spend eternity with Ms. Marie (Mom) the Rose of his life on Monday, November 13, 2006. He was also preceded in death by his parents George and Julia, grandson Jimmy, sisters Lillian, Gladys, Rosie, Audrey Julia, brothers George, Albert, Carl and Desra. He is survived by his daughters Annette, Judy, Janice, his son Mike; grandchildren Jack, Judy, Sam; greats Thomas, Jack, Tristen, Kody, Ashley, Maggie; great greats Kyla, Jak and Sierra; brother-in-law Fred (Clara) Terrell; special friends Tom and Wade Lawson and their families, the Wards, Laura and Lori and a host of other relatives and friends. Emmett served our country in the US Navy during WWII on the USS Cleveland. He retired from Dayton Press after 35 years of service and was a member of the International Electrical Worker's Union. Emmett will be loved and missed very much. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday, November 17, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home 3940 Kettering Blvd., with Rev. Aaron Morgan and Rev. Steven Knell officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until time of service. Interment at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
