Emma J. Kerr

Emma J. Kerr, age 69, of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Kerr; son, Gordon Kerr; and brother, David Wayne Smith. Emma is survived by her children, Donna Lynn Kerr and Ronnie (Debbie) Kerr; grandchildren, Brian (Amber) Kerr, Joshua (Stacey) Kerr and Matthew Kerr; great-grandchildren, Christian Kerr, Erika Kerr and soon to arrive Liam Cruz Kerr; parents, Woodrow & Zelma Smith; siblings, Woodrow (Nancy) Smith Jr., Thelma (Frankie) Wheeler, James Harlan (Karla) Smith, Shirley (Mike) Conley and Vernon (Tammy) Smith; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Emma loved her fish pond and enjoyed crafting. She was very good at gardening and could make anything grow. The family will receive friends Friday, August 20, 2010 from 5-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424). The service will be held Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Willow View Cemetery. Donations may be made to The Hospice of Dayton in Emma's memory.
