Emma I. Guild, age 77, of Dayton, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2018.
Emma was born in Dayton on June 1, 1941 to the late William & Mary Shade. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Guild; granddaughter, Brandie Gabbard; and sister, Rosie Combs.
Emma is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Stephen) Ditter, Donna (Rex) Gabbard, Marlene Guild and Mary (Steve) Hensley; grandchildren, Danielle (Aaron) Rhein, Jeremy (Allison) Madison, Amy (Matt) Gabbard, William Clever, Rachel (Jacob) Gevedon, James West, Matthew Hensley and Joshua Hensley; great-grandchildren, Adriana, Abbi, Kaylee and Charlotte; sister, Vera Winchek; brothers, Ken (Rita) Shade and Ray (Carla) Shade; beloved Chihuahua, Chloe; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 27, 2018 from 5-7pm at Newcomer South Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439. The service will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 10am at the funeral home. Emma will be laid to rest next to her husband, Joseph at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
