Emily Ruth Snider

Emily Ruth Snider, 87, passed peacefully on March 10, 2023. She is survived by her children Pamela (Nathan) Thompson, Teresa (Stu) Snider-Stein and Joseph A. (Julie) Snider; grandchildren Olivia Thompson, Jason Thompson, Michael Stein, Hannah Stein, Samantha (Adam) Mahaffey, Joseph G.W. Snider; great grandchildren Nolan, Reagan and Peyton; and step-granddaughter, Kelley (Dave) Stein-Murphy, and their children, Jadzia, Kasha, Torrey.


Emily was preceded in death by her parents James and MaryHazel Matthews.

Emily spent her life traveling all over the world. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her three great grand children. She will be very missed.

Public visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton Xenia Rd) on Saturday March 25th, 2023 at 2:00 pm with service at 3:00 pm. She will be laid to rest in her hometown of Emporia, VA.
