BROWN, Elwood E. "Woody", age 73, of Dayton, passed away Monday, July 17, 2006. He was born August 1, 1932 in Shelby, OH, the son of the late Allie and Flo Brown. He is survived by his wife, K. Rosemarie Brown; 5 children, Michael Elwood (Cathy) of CA, Lawrence Michael (Tammy) of Solon, OH, Dean Phillip (Beth) of IN, William D. (Phyllis) of Dayton, Stephanie of KY; 19 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; 1 sister and 3 brothers, June Snyder of FL, Talmedge (Wyonne) of KY, Allie (Viola) of OH, Ralph (Jane) of FL; many nieces and nephews; one super mother and friend, Mary Virginia Waters. He was preceded in death by 1 son, Charles Derrick. For over 40 years he drove concrete mixers, tanker trucks and semi-trucks. He was a Life Member of V.F.W. Post 8312, Past Post Commander of Medway Post 9684, Life Member of Military Order of Cooties #71 where he served as Past Commander of MOC #69 and #8, Past Second District Commander of MOC, Past State Commander 86-87. He was also a member of Knollwood Masonic Lodge 774, Antioch Motor Corps, Life Member American Legion Post 763, and Shamrock Athletic Club. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 19, 2006 from 5-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd.) with Military Order of Cooties services at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 20, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Dayton National Cemetery.
