TIPTON, Elvia Joyce "Slick", age 69, of Brookville, passed away Monday, August 17, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. He is survived by his wife, Carol Tipton; five daughters, Janie (Johnny) Stillings, Connie (Mike) Berger, Mary (George) Gay, Lisa Wheeler, and Ginny (Joe) Hatmaker; grandchildren, Kim (Travis) Abney, Mike (Amanda) Berger, Sam (Jessica) Rose, Mike Rose, Aaron Berger, Elisabeth, Caleb, and Abby Wheeler, Emily, and Austin Hatmaker; great-grandchildren, Sophia and Jordyn Abney; sisters, Ruby Grillot and Bessie McDaniels; and brother, Forrest Tipton. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Thursday, August 20, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. Services will be 11 am Friday, August 21, 2009 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
