Elvada S. "Shorty" Foust
Age 90, of Huber Heights, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at Spring Creek Nursing Center. She was born September 14, 1919 in Scott County, TN to the late James W. & Bethana (Hatfield) Sharp.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Aaron H. Foust; one daughter, Phyllis Duncan; and by two brothers, Vola Sharp & Hezekiah Sharp.
Shorty is survived by two grandchildren, Vincent (Elena) Duncan & Stacey (Tony) Schultz; two great grandsons, Anthony & Aidan; one sister, Mildred (Bill) Miller; one brother, James Venus "Jim" (Jean) Sharp; special son-in-law, Kenneth Duane Duncan; and by her extended family & many good friends.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 10, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 12 at Oak Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery, Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
Contributions may be made in memory of Shorty to VITAS Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
