Elva "Lou" Craig, age 94, of Dayton, passed away June 14, 2023. Elva was born in Edgar, Nebraska on August 13, 1928 to the late Roy and Tina Jordan.
Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; her parents; brothers, Merle (Nora Bess) Jordan, Glen (Betty) Jordan and her sister, Vera (Wayne) McWilliams.
She is survived by sons, Roy (Carrie) Craig and Roger Craig; grandchildren, Rosalyn (Dan) Brubaker, Robert Craig, Morgan (Lee) Comer, and Brooke Craig; and great-grandchild, Evalyn Brubaker.
Lou retired from Mad River Schools. She was a member of Beavercreek Seventh Day Adventist Church. In her free time, she enjoyed playing Bingo and watching her family participate in sports.
Lou was very proud of her husband's service in the United States Navy and Air Force. Her late husband, Jack, served in Korea and Vietnam.
Lou was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an amazing woman and was the matriarch of the family. Lou was blessed to be able to spend so much time with her grandchildren. She was completely enamored with her five year old great-granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lou's memory to the Beavercreek Seventh Day Adventist Church, 670 Grange Hall Rd Beavercreek, OH 45430.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
