Elsie Sparks

Elsie Sparks, age 79 of Xenia, Ohio, passed away Friday, February 2, 2024 at Ohio Living Quaker Heights. She was born July 29, 1944 in Essie, Kentucky the daughter of Sam and Phrona Sizemore.

Elsie was a devout member of Spaulding Road Church of God her entire life. She loved cooking and fishing any chance she got, even if it meant taking her son out of school. She was devoted to taking care of her family, especially her mother.

She is preceded in death by her father, Sam Sizemore; mother, Phrona Sizemore; daughter, Jill Posey and many siblings.

Elsie is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ova; son, Benjamin (Courtney) Sparks; two daughters, Kim (Roger) Stacy and Sherry Morgan; son-in-law, Mike Posey; grandchildren, Hunter Sparks, Halee Sparks, Colton Sparks, Elise Sparks, Kristi Reed, Amanda Allen, Nicole Marietta, Brandon Posey, Blaine Morgan and Cody Morgan; great grandchildren, Trey Reed, Alyssa Reed, Brooke Allen, Cole Allen, Brycen Marietta, Baylee Marietta, Mackenzie Morgan, Kayleigh Morgan, Isaac Morgan, Avie Morgan and Nova Morgan and many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with a service at 12:00 pm at Spaulding Road Church Of God (1658 Spaulding Road, Dayton, Ohio 45432). Elsie will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio following the service.
