Elsie W. Moore, age 82 of Moraine, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Kettering Medical Center. She was born October 19, 1935 in McKee, Kentucky, daughter of the late Robert Welch and Sudie (Gabbard) Burks.
In addition to her parents, Elsie is preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Bill Moore and brother, Carlos Welch.
Elsie is survived by her children, Susan J. (Tim) Hartley; and Timothy R. (Marcy) Combs; grandchildren, Shannon Harris, Andrea Behr, Timmy Combs, Wyatt Harbison, Corey Harbison, TJ Hartley, Christian Hartley and Aubree Raterman; great grandchild, Bradley Bridges; cousin, Elsie (Jimmy) Tatum and nephews, Terry an Michael Welch as well as other extended family and friends.
Elsie was a graduate of Roosevelt High School. She spent most of her adult-life working. Elsie worked in manufacturing at NCR of Dayton before retiring and later for a company out of Vandalia, currently known as Johnson Electric. Elsie was an avid bowler, playing for many leagues over the years. She also enjoyed her visits to the slots in her spare time.
Family will host private services at Newcomer Funeral Home Kettering prior to burial at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City. Written condolences may be shared with the family by visiting Elsie's online memorial at www.newcomerdayton.com.
