Elmer Tincher
March 22, 1935 — May 25, 2019
Elmer Tincher, age 84 of Union, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Kettering Medical Center. He was born March 22, 1935 in Bond, Kentucky, the son of the late Grant and Verl Tincher.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Glendon and Ray Tincher; aunts, Bonnie Pennington, May Gabbard, Ada Greathouse and Lovie "Bobbie" Cornelius; uncles, Asa Cornelius Jr. and Russell Cornelius; cousin, Leo Gabbard; and best friend, Ray Wells.
Elmer is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty; daughter, Heather Tincher; cousins, Warren Michael (Diane) Cornelius, Greg (Diane) Cornelius, Monta (Doris) Greathouse; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Elmer was Varsity basketball player at Tyner High School. He was also a member of UA Local 162 and past local and state chapters president of the RSES. Lastly, he was a proud retiree of Reick Mechanical Services.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Newcomer North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424). Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Nichols Family Cemetery in Jackson County, KY.
