TATE, Elmer C., Jr., 89, of Waynesville formerly of Centerville passed away Monday, November 28, 2011.
He is preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Marcella Tate; wife Mary Louise Tate; and three brothers: James, Robert, and William. Elmer is survived by his children Kathleen Herring and William (Cheryl) Tate; grandchildren Jeffrey, Jerry Robert, and Kailey.
He was a veteran in the U.S. Navy with service in WWII. Elmer was the Chairman for the Centerville Planning Commission.
Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM Thursday December 1, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton Xenia Rd. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, December 2, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice 8069 Washington Village Dr., Dayton, Ohio 45458.
