Elmer Stidham, age 78, of West Carrollton, passed away September 5, 2016 at his home. He was born July 25, 1938 in Norton, Virginia.
He is preceded in death by his parents Guy and Velvie, first wife Shirley (Zimmerman), sister Ruby (Sorrell), brother Charles and stepson Eric Thome.
Elmer is survived by his wife Marcia; children Terry (Angie) of Indiana, Rick (Anna) of Miamisburg; grandchildren Timmy, Krista, Ryan, Sarah and Tasha. Stepdaughter Shanda (Brian) Donley of Springboro and grandchildren Hannah, Wyatt and Carson; siblings Earl, Kenneth (Pat), Harold (Lillian), Nellie (Fred) Welcher, Jewel Alexander and Maryann Stidham; also brother-in-law and sister-in law Norman and Debbie Grant.
Elmer retired from The Kroger Company after 39 years of service.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 12:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering Ohio), Pastor Henry Watts presiding. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery. Elmer's family will receive friends from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice of Dayton.
