Elmer Wesley Moran, age 80, of Dayton, OH passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018. He was born June 8, 1938 in Dayton, Ohio to Earl Moran and Pansy Stewart. Elmer married Mary Louise Cline on January 25, 1958 in Dayton, OH.
Elmer was an owner/operator of Moran Trucking Company for over 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, watching and listening to sports and had a love for the Cincinnati Reds. Elmer and Marylou enjoyed taking Sunday drives and day trips together. He loved his grandkids and great grandkids and the time he spent with them. Elmer loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.
Elmer is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marylou; three daughters, Sharon (Ronald Cole) Faires, Lisa (Robert) Prichard and Julie (James) Norman; a daughter-in-law, Denise Moran; twelve grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two sisters, Alice (William) Wiseman and Maxine Gaines; nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is preceded in death by a son, Matthew Moran; a daughter, Renee Quinn; a son in law, David Muse; a granddaughter, Stefanie; two great grandsons, Kaleb and Asher; his parents; his sisters, Deanna and Bessie; and a brother Max.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. A Memorial Service will follow the gathering at the funeral home at 4:00 pm. Burial will follow at a later date at the convenience of the family.
