Ellyn K. Hutter
August 1, 1944 — July 30, 2022
Ellyn K. Hutter, age 77 of Miami Township, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Laurelwood Senior Living. She was born August 1, 1944 in Rahway, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Fred Hutter and Vera (Hutter) Brown.
Ellyn worked at Fort Monmouth, and for most of her career she was employed as a reservationist for Eastern Airlines. She then worked at Home Depot Corporate Headquarters. Later she worked for SAS shoes in the Atlanta area. After retirement, Ellyn did pet sitting. She loved animals.
Ellyn is survived by her brother, Bob (Kathy) Hutter; nephews Matt (Gina) Hutter, Mike (Charlotte) Hutter; great nieces and nephews, Maggie, Jack, Andrew, and Charlie, Piper, Sam; and cousins George (Lisa) Lawler, Carolyn (Joe) Liskiewicz, Patty (Paul) Csuha, John (Kathy) Lawler, Gary (Tina) Mather, Bill Seabridge, Fr. Tom Seabridge, Bob Seabridge, and Mike Seabridge.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by uncles Tom Lawler, George (Ann) Lawler, Aunt Kay (Bob) Seabridge, Aunt Irene (Herb) Mather.
Ellyn was an independent, strong-willed, and empathetic woman who was generous to her nephews. Many college textbooks were bought by Matt and Mike after cashing in savings bonds given for birthdays throughout the years. In addition, many Atari computer games were given to Matt and Mike from Ellyn.
Visitation will be held on August 9th, 2022 from 10 am to 11 am at Incarnation Catholic Parish (7415 Far Hills Avenue, Centerville, Ohio 45459). A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 am.
