Becknell, Ellory H. "Beck" 83, of Huber Heights, passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, May 1st, 2016. He was a Navy veteran, receiving the Navy Occupational Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal while serving on the USS John R. Pierce, member in good standing in perpetuity at the National World War II museum, Chef de Gere of 40/8 Voiture 34, member of American Legion 200, member of AMVETS 148, member of V.F.W. 3283, member for over fifty years of the Masonic Lodge, most recently at the Huber Heights Lodge 777 F & AM, Trotwood Jaycee president, Trotwood City Councilman, Certified Realtor with Mott Realty, retired Union rep and member of the 25 year club with National Cash Resister, certified by Ohio State University with a certificate in Conversational Spanish, retired from Becknell Builders.
Born in 1933 in Boonville, Kentucky, Beck was preceded in death by his parents William Becknell and Mary (Schuller), and his brother Walt Becknell.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; children Cindi Cuny (Mike) and Joe Becknell (Michelle) ; sisters Donna Ferraro (Mike) , and Patricia Ott ( Ron) ; brother Gary Becknell (Cyndi) ; stepsons Tony Aveyard (Kathi), Kevin Aveyard and Jeff Aveyard, 8 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Newcomer funeral home, 4104 Needmore Rd, Huber Heights. Visitation will start at 9:30 AM on May 4th with the funeral to follow at 10:30 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Huber Heights . Burial will be at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens
