Ellis Tackett

Ellis Tackett, age 82 of New Carlisle went to be with the Lord on March 6, 2013. He was born on February 3, 1931 to the late Grady and Myrtle Tackett. In addition to his parents Ellis is preceded in death by his brothers, Amos and Chester Tackett; sister, Esther (Tackett) Thompson.
Ellis is survived by his wife of 49 years Janice (Parker) Tackett; sister, Lola Mae (Tackett) Wells; brother, Clarence Tackett; 3 namesakes, James Ellis Tackett, Joshua Ellis Tackett, and Elliena Mae Keller; 12 nieces and 7 nephews; and numerous other family and friends.
He was a retired machinist from Dayton Forging and Heat Treat. Ellis was a loving and devoted husband and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
