McCRAY, Ellis D. "Bud", age 69, of Beavercreek, died Thursday, May 17, 2007. He was born May 24, 1937 in Coalton, OH, the son of the late Thomas and Tessie (Murphy) McCray. Bud was a pattern maker for over 45 years and owned and operated Action Pattern, Inc. in Dayton for many years and was a veteran of the United States Army. Bud's interest included, Mushroom hunting, gardening, fishing, family and friends. He was a member of the American Legion and was very active with the Beavercreek Jaycees in the 1970's. He was preceded in death by one son, Chris McCray in 2005 and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary McCray; one son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Christi McCray of Beavercreek; one sister, Gloria (Gene) Thomas of Englewood; one brother, James L. (Ruth) McCray of Dayton; many beloved, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews; special friends, Charles and Marty Tobe. Visitation will be held Friday, May 18, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel where funeral services will be held Saturday, May 19, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Valley View Memory Gardens. If desired, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
