Ellen Jane King

KING, Ellen Jane, age 86, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Jerry King; daughter, Mary Lynn. Jane is survived by her three daughters, Irene (David) Ward of Miami Township, Susan (Howard) Lobacz-Hecht of Long Island, NY, and Kathleen (Scott) McMillan of Jacksonville, NC; two sons, James (Pamela) King of Beavercreek, OH, and John (Lori) King of Frankfort, OH. She is survived by one brother-in-law, Robert (Ione) King of Spring Valley, OH; was a grandmother to Lisa, Maggie, Patrick, Amy, Melanie, Jeffrey, Sarah, Trisha, Kari, and Joseph; great-grandmother of 13. Jane retired from the Centerville School System. She was a volunteer at Miami Valley Hospital and past President of American Legion Post 675 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and Moraine Seniors. She resided at Walnut Creek Assisted Living. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 24, 2010 from 1-3 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3940 S. Kettering Blvd) with funeral services beginning at 3:00 pm. Graveside services will be held Monday, July 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Dayton National Cemetery (funeral procession will leave from funeral home at 10:30 am). The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Kettering Medical Center, Hospice of Dayton, and Walnut Creek.
