Ellen Jane Benchic

Ellen Jane Benchic, lovingly known as "Janie", passed away on December 25, 2023. She was born on December 11, 1947 to the late Alvin Lawson and Jimmy Herron.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Janie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by those who love her.
In addition to her parents, Janie was preceded in death by her daughter, Ellen Zetzer; and her siblings: Leroy Lawson, Perry Lawson, Robert Herron, Tommy Herron and Mary Hornik.
Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Tom Benchic; her brother, Frank Lawson; her grandchildren: Emily Harris and Steven Riffle; and many great-grandchildren including: Julian Baker, Khloe Baker, Keira Baker, Caleashea Stair, Hayden Riffle, Emily Riffle, Brittani Riffle and Lainey Riffle.
Friends and family are welcome to gather from 4:00pm to 5:00pm on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, where a Memorial Service will begin at 5:00pm.
