Ellease McCutchen Frazier, 91 of Dayton, Ohio entered into a peaceful rest at home surrounded by her loving and devoted children, who nurtured and cared for her until her transition into heavenly rest, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on May 28, 1922, in Troop County, Georgia to the late Smith and Mary Lula (Sims) McCutchen.
Ellease deeply loved her children and family as well as gardening, painting, cooking and traveling especially family reunions. She had a love of all people (neighborhood mother). Ellease received several home beautification awards from the City of Dayton and was a Foster Parent for over 20 years. Retired from Dayton Public School System and worked at the Dayton State Hospital for several years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 17 years, Robert Frazier in 1957, Son Hosea Frazier in 1970, 2 Stepdaughters, Betty Mae Frazier and Delores Baker both of Cleveland, Ohio, Granddaughter, Keina Frazier-Mays in 1979 and 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Ellease is survived by her children; Nellie Watson, Robert Frazier, Jr. and Denise Frazier; foster children Arlene Heisle, Fredericka Almon, George (Randy) Edwards and chosen son Steven Fontaine. Grandchildren: Michael Watson, Tony Brown, Tracey Watson, Derek Silkert (Jenelle), Sherri Robinson, Oscar Ellis (Judy), Robert Watson and Ronnette Harris (Claude). Great-Grandchildren; Jordan Robinson, Audreanna Roberts and Leah Robinson. Sister Rose Emma Burks and devoted brother Bobby McCutchen. Devoted friends Joycelyn Frazier, Greta Burroughs, Helen Gilmore, Joselyn Jordan and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1 p.m., Friday August 16, 2013 @ Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 3300 W. Third Street, Dayton, Ohio where funeral services will begin @ 1 p.m. Interment @ Greencastle Cemetery.
