Ellarene "Ellie" Browning, age 69, of Kettering passed away on September 24, 2023. She was born in Hazard, Kentucky on September 17, 1954 to the late Lee and Ollie Patrick. In addition to her parents, Ellie is preceded in death by her brother, Willis Patrick.
Ellie is survived by her loving husband, Larry; children, Kristy Merchant, Michael Runions, Keith (Laura) Browning; grandchildren, Cheyenne Tucker, Kayla "Kay" (Ron) Lampton, James "Jimmy" Camp, Tessa Camp, Phillip Runions, Izabella Runions, Gabriella Runions; great-grandchildren, Paislee Shipley-Courter, Bella Tucker, Oaklee Shipley-Courter, Serana Porter, Eivor Tucker; along with many other family and friends.
Ellie was known by her grandchildren as "Dork Fish". She loved all animals and everyone she met. Ellie was an avid monkey collector. She was the type of person that would give you the shirt off of her back if you needed it. Everyone referred to her as their mom, grandma, sister and best friend. Ellie will be forever loved and deeply missed by all who knew and loved her; she was the cool grandmother, mother and wife.
