Ella S. Brown

Ella S. Brown, age 89 of Dayton, passed away Monday, April 14, 2014. She was born March 5, 1925 in Crossville, TN to the late Thomas and Rose Boles. Ella was preceded in death by her husband, James G. Brown; grandson, Michael D. Brown; sisters, Mary Parker, Hazel Houston and June Hyder; brothers, John, Carl and Arthur Boles; daughter-in-law, Sharlette Brown.

She is survived by her children, Thomas Brown, Christine (David) Cox and James Paul (Gail) Brown; 5 grandchildren, Christina Sullivan, David Giles, Adam Giles, Crystal Brown and Tammy Brown; 3 step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren, sister, Sarah Rich and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Ella loved to play guitar and to sing Gospel and Bluegrass music. She was a member of Evangel Church of God and never missed a Sunday service.

A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Friday, April 18 at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, 11890 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City, OH 45371. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Friday.
