Ella Marie Smith (Murray)

Ella M. Smith (Murray), age 59, of Dayton, went to a better place, Sunday, June 6, 2010, leaving a trail of tears from all who knew and loved her. Preceeded in death by her father, Edward A. Murray and maternal grandparents, Orland & Marie Haber. Survived by her mother, Margaret J. Murray; children, Sally (Mark) Hite,Gary Lee Smith Jr. (Lucy) Smith and Arthur Harding Smith; sisters, Connie (Todd) Hodapp and Vera (John) Tangeman; father-in-law, Warren (Janet) Smith; brother-in-law, Rickey (Marilyn) Smith; many nieces; nephews; numerous family; friends and husband, Gary Lee Smith. She was employed by Holy Family School and Mary Queen of Peace. Ella was the secretary for the Walnut Hills Civic Association. She will truly be missed by all that she has touched. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 10, 2010 from 4-6 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424). A memorial service will follow at 6 PM. Contributions may be made in Ella's memory to The Hospice of Dayton.
