Elizabeth Louise Isbel, age 100 of Washington Twp., passed away Monday, August 5, 2024. She was born April 29, 1924 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of the late Earl and Lelah Shurts. Elizabeth started her career working as a secretary at Wright Patterson Air Force Base during the World War II era. She continued working as a secretary for 25 years at Epiphany Lutheran Church where she was also a member. Elizabeth was a creative person and enjoyed art, mostly Sculpture. She used to go Square Dancing. Elizabeth loved to travel and see new parts of the world. She went on several trips and cruises and even got to see Europe. What made her happiest was being a Wife, Mother and Grandmother. Elizabeth will be dearly missed. 

She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Melvin D. Isbel; her parents; and her siblings, Earleen Willoughby, Donald E. Shurts, and Robert Shurts.

Elizabeth is survived by her Daughters, Sharon (David) Orner, and Kathy (Michael) Timpone; Granddaughters, Kimberly D. Harmon, Kristen M. (Jack Kuhn) Kuhn, Angela M. Timpone, and Melinda A. Timpone; Grandson, Justin M. Windle; Great-grandchildren, Joshua D. Hergenrather, Faith E. Hergenrather, Ashlyn M. Kuhn, Landon B. Kuhn; and by numerous other family and friends.
