Elizabeth "Betty" Smith, 90 of Beavercreek, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2014. She was born September 7, 1923 in Vicksburg, MS.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur F. Smith; father, Chester Hackett; mother, Fannie Hackett and sister, Frances Hackett.
Elizabeth is survived by her four sons, Glen Smith, Lewis Smith, Neil Smith and Arthur (Alisa) Smith; daughters, Harriet (John) Hart and Frances (James) Monroe; brother, Chester Hackett; and grandchildren, James, Katherine, Anna, Daniel, Maxon, Maddy and Aiden.
A memorial gathering will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 1, 2014 Newcomer Funeral Home 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vitas Hospice Care of Dayton.
