Elizabeth "Betty" Applegate

Elizabeth A. (Rauchfleisch)Applegate, age 74 of Dayton, passed away on November 18, 2011. She was born on May 31, 1937 to the late Bernard and Margaret Rauchfleisch. In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, P. Ted Applegate and her brother, Thomas "Smokey" Rauchfleisch.

Betty is survived by her four children, Steven (Linda) Applegate, William Applegate, Donald (Maria) Applegate and Stacey (Wm. Crew) Ferguson; 7 grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister Sheila (Tom) Lehman; and numerous other family members and good friends.

Betty was a graduate of Julienne high school class of 1955. She was an active member of the Notre Dame and Immaculate Conception Alumni Associations. She was the co-owner of Ambassador Designs.

A funeral mass will take place on Wednesday November 23, 2011 at 11:00 am at Corpus Christi Church, 527 Forest Ave. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the mass from 10:00-11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Betty's memory to Elizabeth New Life Center, 359 Forest Ave or House of Bread, 9 Orth Ave.
