Elizabeth Ann Kessler

Elizabeth Ann Kessler passed away at her home on January 8, 2013 surrounded by friends and family after a long illness.
Known to friends as Betsy or Sammie, she was born Februay 27, 1951 to Gilbert and Laura Samples. She is survived by her mother Laura, sister Becky, son Leif, daughter Ilka, five grandchildren Paige, Sierra,Emma, Tylor and Sarah; and companion and soulmate John.
Betsy had a rich and fullfilling life.She ran a coal tipple in Kentucky; was a supervisor for Toyota in Lexington;an administrator for a large employment firm; a Clay County, Kentucky deputy sherriff; a realator and most recently tended the social room at the Tipp City American Legion., where she was an active auxilary member.
Betsy loved to sing karoake, watch thunderstorms, sitting on her back portch listening to the rain fall on the roof, and walking at night in gently falling snow. She was an advid lover of the outdoors and always found beauty in the most barren of places.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held in the near future.
In leiu of flowers,it is requested that donations to Miami County Hospice be made in her name.
