Elfriede M. Wassell
WASSELL, Elfriede, age 81, passed away Friday, July 9, 2010 after a courageous battle with emphysema. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Wassell; son, Douglas Wassell, and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Heckler; brother, Karl Horner; grandsons, Stephen (Amber) Heckler, Scott Heckler; great grandchildren, Autumn, Aubrianna, and Allie Heckler; beloved canine companion, "Lilly", as well as many other dear family members and special friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:45 am on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. Pastor Scott VanDyke officiating. Interment to follow at Dayton National Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:45 am until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
