THOMAS, Eleanor, age 80, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2013 in Atlanta, GA. She is preceded in death by her father, Monroe Poteet; mother, Ella York; step-father, Robie York; sister, Elena Hoskins; brother, David York, and special friend, Bill Mahle.
Eleanor is survived by her brother, Paul York; children, Dennis Thomas, Donald (Paula) Thomas, Deborah Thomas (Jaffett Cordoba); grandchildren, April, Bryan, Andrew, Julie, Emily, Jennifer, and Travis; great grandchildren, Adalyn and Brady, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She retired from the Dayton Public School's central kitchen.
Family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 am on Monday, August 19, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where a funeral service will follow at 11:00 am.
