Eldora Marie Jewett, age 80 departed from this life June 30th, 2023.
Eldora was born October 3, 1942, to Clarence and Louise Jones, the oldest of 3 children. Eldora was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, and if you had the pleasure of knowing Eldora you couldn't do anything but love her. She was full of life and enjoyed every minute the way she wanted, and no one could change her mind once it was set. I truly believe that everyone reading this obituary today has an Eldora story that they will never forget with a smile. She was one of a kind and will be greatly missed.
Eldora worked for the Dayton Board of Education for 20 years and retired in 2000. During her time in education Eldora grew a passion for working with children diagnosed with special needs/delays. Eldora believed all children should be treated equal and she made sure nothing less would occur. Eldora loved her husband dearly; they enjoyed 59 beautiful years together. She was always a family oriented person, and would keep in close contact with many. Everyone knows Eldora calling was simply because you crossed her mind and she's thinking of you. Her love extended throughout her family and beyond, almost everyone she met instantly became family to her. Her spirit attracted all types of beautiful souls that she truly adored. She showered all with compliments and never hesitated to express her gratitude and love for you.
Eldora was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Louise Jones, her husband George Jewett Jr, her son George Jemal Jewett and her bother Aaron C Jones.
Eldora is survived by her daughter Teria Jewett, sister Shirley A. Jones, and stepson Daryl (Tammy) Johnson. She leaves 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and devoted cousin Elizabeth Porter. A host of nieces, nephews and close friends.
