KRUG, Eileen Mary, age 92 of Miami Township, passed away on December 24, 2015. She was born in Cincinnati and grew up in her beloved Mt. Adams. She moved to Dayton after marrying, James Krug in 1947. She was an active member of St. Henry's Catholic Parish and was involved in numerous parish activities. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing Euchre and loved to dance. Eileen was a prayer warrior who prayed her rosary daily for others. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Leonora Cox; husband, James Edward Krug I; son-in-law, Leonard Povilaika; and brothers, James and Eugene (Sis) Cox; and brother and sister-in-law, Maurice Krug and Mary Wolfe.
Eileen leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving children, Carolyn (James) Kay, James E (Effie) Krug II, Susan Povilailka; grandchildren, Michelle Lewis, Jason Krug, Ann Unger, and Josiah Povilaika; step-grandchildren, Eva and Chris; great-grandchildren, Naomi and Brandon; 7 step-great-grandchildren; and 1 step-great-great-granddaughter; brothers and sister, Bill Williams, Tom Williams, and Mary Collins; sisters-in-law, Barb (Lee) Jira and Dot Cox; and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at St. Henry's Catholic Parish at 11:00am, with a visitation preceding from 10-11am. Internment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
