Effie Jane Hoffman, age 82, of Dayton, passed away Monday, December 28, 2015. She was born November 12, 1933 in Hanging Rock, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Malcolm and Ruth Osborne; husband, Joseph Hoffman; daughter, Shirley; siblings, Barbara and Donald and grandson, James.
Effie is survived by her daughters, Brenda (Robert) Walker, Carol (Larry) Grimm and Penny Simpson; sons, Darrell (Kim) Presley and Robert (Gail) Blevins; brother, Anderson Osborne. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 am Saturday, January 2, 2015 followed by a graveside service at 10:00 am at Dayton National Cemetery.
