Edwin Walter

WALTER SR., Edwin K. "Ed" age 79 of Kettering, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2006 at his home. He was preceded in death by his infant son Paul. He is survived by Shirley (Finch) Walter, his loving wife of 59 years, his children Denise and husband Doug Meyer, Patricia Wellmeier, Nancy and husband Stephen Wethington, Edwin Jr. and wife Penny Walter, Mary Ann and husband David Cotton, Chuck Walter, Carolyn and husband John Duncan, Jim and wife Donna Walter; 18 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Edwin served our country in the US Army Air Corp during WWII and then served an additional year in the US Navy. He retired from Monarch Marking as a chemist after many years of service and was a member of Emmanuel Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Monday, July 31, 2006 at Emmanuel Catholic Church 149 Franklin Street, Dayton, with Fr. Lee Sciarrotta celebrant. Family will receive friends from 2-4 pm Sunday, July 30, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home 3940 Kettering Blvd. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
