Edwin H. Borgert, 78, of Coconut Creek, Florida, formerly of Dayton, Ohio passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday June 2, 2011.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Mary Jo (Focke) Borgert; sister, Lois (Borgert) Thomas and brother, Fred Borgert.
He is survived by his son, Edwin H. Borgert, III (Laura) Pompano Beach FL; 4 daughters: Peggy Schweitzer (Mark) Dublin, OH; Patty Hanes (Randy) West Chester, OH; Paula Ruiz (Ray) Arlington, TX; Pam Fischer (Mike) Tipp City, OH; grandchildren: Nick and Alex (FL), Lauren, Matthew, Michael, Katelin, Jon, Joey, Tommy (OH) Daniel and Patrick (TX); 5 sisters: Martha (Jerry) Zimmerli, Irene Jankowski, Rosemarie Stump, Carolyn (Karl) Froning, Kathryn (Rod) Payne; one brother, Kenneth (Pat Reinert) Borgert; sister-in-law, Gail (Gerhardstein) Borgert as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2011 from 5-8 pm at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 24, 2011 at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 2300 South Smithville Road, Dayton, OH. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
