Edward M. Wilson, age 91, of Dayton, passed away November 13, 2018.
He was born February 2, 1927 in Morgantown, West Virginia to the late Edward M. and Susie (Calhoun) Wilson. Edward was an Army Veteran of WWII and he met the love of his life, Ethel E. (Briggs) upon his return. And from that union they had 8 delightful children. Edward retired from GM/Delco Moraine after 50 years of service which he loved. He was a proud founding member of the Fazl-i-Umar Dayton Mosque for many years.
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 45 years, Ethel E. Wilson, his 2 sons, Edward Jr. and LaFrance Wilson, sister, Mary Katherine, and brother, Clyde Wilson.
He leaves to cherish his memory, Tyrone Wilson, Susan Barnes and husband, Leroy Barnes, Raymond Wilson, Darnell Wilson, (deceased wife, Donna), Johnnie Belinda Wilson, Teresa Arnold and husband, David Arnold, and numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, including the family Patriarch, Nathaniel Scott and family Matriarch, Frances Berry-Franklin.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 11:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm at Newcomer South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Burial will follow at Dayton National Cemetery.
