Edward R. York
YORK, Edward R. age 63 of Huber Heights, born on April 1, 1947, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2010.
He was preceded in death by his father A. Y. York; step-father Clarence Countiss; granddaughter Shelby M. Worthington and nephew Tommy York. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce A. York, his mother Anna B. (York) Countiss; loving step daughters Debbie Ashbaugh (Greg Blackmore), Cindy and husband Jerry Schimer, Tina Correale (Stephen Whitfield), Victoria and husband Jeff Delahunt; 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother Willard and wife Bernice York; sister Barbara Davis; step brother Charles Countiss; sister-in-law Sandra Workman; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Ed retired from GM after 31 years of service. He worked at both the Vandalia and Abbey Ave. Delphi Plants.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road. Family will receive friends from 5- 8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery. In loving memory of Ed, contributions may be made to Hospice of The Dayton 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
