Edward "Scotty" McCalley, 92, of Centerville, passed away on October 12, 2019 at Kettering Medical Center.
He was born on March 13, 1927 to Edward and Lillian Gertrude (Smyth) McCalley in Groveland, Florida.
Scotty was a Navy Corpsman in WWII and Korean War. He retired as a Marketing Director for Standard Register after 38 years of traveling the world and promoting data systems.
On August 13, 1949, he married Nadine (Overby) and they relocated from North Carolina to Ohio in 1959.
Scotty was a member of St. James United Methodist Church and the Lion's Club.
He was an avid golfer, worked part time at the Mound Golf Course, enjoyed family gatherings and was active until he passed.
Scotty is survived by his loving children, Ed McCalley and Susan (Roger) Harter; grandchildren, Scott Peth (Holly), Elizabeth McCalley, Erin McCalley, and Annie (Nathan) Musser; and great granddaughter, Audrey Musser.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife of 60 years, Nadine McCalley.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 21, 2019, from 6 to 8 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd.).
A Graveside Service will be held in Reidsville, North Carolina at later date.
