Edward Manley

MANLEY, Edward, "Joe," 89 of Kettering, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2007. He is survived by Margaret, his wife of 66 years; son Michael (Patricia) Manley of Miamisburg; daughter, Patricia (Thomas) Poeppelmeier of Kettering; grandchildren, Todd and Mark (Janet) Poeppelmeier and Staff Sgt. Erin and Kevin (Rebecca) Manley; great-grandchildren, Joey and Sydney Poeppelmeier, and Jemma Manley. He was a graduate of Fairmont High School, class of 1936, a WWII Navy Seabee, a seventy year member of IBEW Local 82, where he held many offices including assistant business manager. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Walnut Creek Nursing Home for all their care. The family will receive friends from 5-8PM Thursday, January 3, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Funeral services will be held 10AM Friday, January 4, 2008 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
