Edward Orlo Leen

Edward Orlo Leen, 64, of Kettering, passed away on October 20, 2017 at Kettering Medical Center. He was born on June 15, 1953 to the late John and Virginia (Steitz) Leen in Dayton, OH.
On September 10, 1983, he married Susan Eklund-Leen. Ed retired as a Police Sergeant for the Riverside P.D. He was a longtime member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and MUFON. Ed's hobbies included: collecting militaria, shooting sports, paranormal investigations, and Sasquatch-spotting.
Ed is survived by his loving wife, Susan Eklund-Leen; sister-in-law, Sara Eklund Payne (Warren); sister, Jane Leen-Johnson (Ken); best friend, Peter Ernst (Amy); dear friends, Steve Frost, Artie VonDohre, Jan Berger (son, Christopher), Maggie Rusnak (Moy Easwaran) and Andrea Lloyd Girard (Jeff), as well as numerous friends and relatives.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John "JJ" Leen.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 27, 2017, 9:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 2300 Smithville Rd., Dayton, OH 45420, where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 AM. Burial will take place at Heritage Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Blue's Mews Cat Rescue, 273 Fairway Dr., Fairborn, OH 45324 or the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (www.nleomf.com).
